Vandaag terug gekomen uit Valencia. Ondanks het slechte weer echt weer geweldige dagen gehad. Weer 4 erg dikke shows mee kunnen pakken. Ook op verschillende plekken al delen van de poppen kunnen bewonderen. Na het openingsweekend en de afgelopen dagen is de zin in het echte gebeuren echt ontzettend aanwezig. Laten we hopen dat het weer bijtrekt, maar hoe dan ook gaan wij er weer ontzettend van genieten.

Nee, Nadal-Marti zou 7 maart op het plein schieten maar die is door het slechte weer geannuleerd en zal dus nu alsnog op 20 maart geschoten worden.

It seems the worst possible scenario for the big week of Fallas. And is not for less. After the downpour that fell on the night of the plantà during the last Fallas of September, now a deep cold storm comes to join the festivities of the Fallas revival.

De show van vandaag is afgelast vanwege de wind. Er hangt een storm boven Spanje genaamd Celia en die trekt van het westen richting het oosten ( Valencia ). Met vooral de eerste Fallas dagen veel wind en daarna heel veel regen. Ik had alleen niet verwacht dat ze nu al shows gingen aflassen.. dat voorspelt weinig goeds voor de aankomende dagen helaas.

Ze beslissen het natuurlijk per moment, maar als het nu al wordt afgelast dan is de kans zeer reëel dat dit ook de aankomende dagen kan gaan gebeuren.
Actuele nieuws van Valencia en over Fallas kan je trouwens op https://www.levante-emv.com/fallas/ volgen, daar werd er al van de week meerdere keren gesproken over dat het er slecht uit zag voor het feest. Vertalen moet je trouwens van Spaans naar Engels doen voor een goede vertaling ( en dan eventueel naar Nederlands ).

Hier (zie link onderaan) staat goed uitgelegd wat de redenen zijn om een show niet door te laten gaan. Met de weersverwachtingen voor vandaag en de komende dagen kan ik je zeggen dat je hier niet vrolijk van wordt.
Of dit ook geldt voor de straatmascleta's dat weet ik niet. Gisterenavond was er hier wel 1 die in de straat werd afgestoken. Maar was dan ook wel een kleintje.
