Police and firefighters raided a Torrance house early today, recovering about 3,400 pounds of illegal fireworks that they said could have leveled the neighborhood had they exploded.
Two men were arrested in the bust that began Tuesday with a tip that illegal fireworks were being sold out of a
Brian Flanigan, 40, of Torrance north Redondo Beach home, police said.
The investigation led to Brian Flanigan's house in the 1600 block of Beech Avenue in Torrance, where the 40-year-old unemployed man's garage and 35-foot trailer were filled with boxes containing Chinese-made fireworks marked with names including "Armageddon" and "Reaper Doom Magnum Shells."
